    Step into a 24/7 manufacturing campus where gas and steam turbines, along with generators, are built and repaired to keep the world’s power on. Your mornings begin with shift turnover: you review open work, align with maintenance supervisors, and set priorities. By mid-morning you’re deep into a CNC issue on a spin-balance test rig, isolating faults across controls and mechanics, and coordinating with outside vendors to integrate a fix that sticks. Afternoon brings capital-versus-repair analyses—comparing lifecycle costs and operational risk to recommend whether we refurbish, replace, or upgrade—and drafting precise specifications and purchase requisitions to keep projects moving. Throughout the day, you communicate with department managers and internal customers, closing the loop on challenges and sharing lessons learned. Off-hours, you’re the steady hand on occasional call-ins, ensuring reliability never sleeps.

    How You’ll Drive Impact

    • Lead hands-on troubleshooting of CNC machinery, spin-balance facilities, and critical process equipment across the Steam Turbine product line.
    • Guide multi-disciplinary project teams and coordinate systems integration with external partners to elevate equipment capabilities.
    • Perform repair/replace/upgrade evaluations using condition, lifecycle cost, and production impact to shape smart investment decisions.
    • Design and roll out proactive maintenance plans for high-value assets to increase reliability and reduce operational risk.
    • Keep information flowing—facilitate daily collaboration, document turnover responsibilities, and communicate status across shifts.
    • Write detailed specifications and requisitions for parts and new equipment, ensuring the right components are identified and procured.
    • Develop new vendor relationships for project work and service repairs while managing existing facility service partners.
    • Continuously upskill the team by sharing methods and proposing new integration opportunities; support off-shifts with occasional call-ins.

    What You Bring

    • AAS or BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field) preferred; equivalent blends of experience, education, and certifications considered.
    • 10+ years in manufacturing with deep expertise in CNC systems, PLCs, and process equipment; highly experienced candidates may be placed at a higher salary grade.
    • Strength in root cause analysis; familiarity with AutoCAD or Siemens NX drafting is preferred.
    • Professional English proficiency, excellent interpersonal skills, and confidence presenting to all levels of the organization.
    • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
