Step Into a Day on Our Shop Floor
At our CNC rebuild facility in Cincinnati, OH 45215, your day begins by preparing an efficient, orderly workspace. You’ll stage tools and materials, help position and level equipment, and team up with technicians to bring complex machinery back to life. Throughout the shift, you’ll switch seamlessly between shop upkeep, assisting with preventive work, moving parts with material‑handling equipment, and pitching in on assemblies and teardowns. By day’s end, the floor is safe, organized, and ready for tomorrow’s builds.
What You’ll Handle
- Partner with technicians to set up and break down CNC machines and ancillary equipment.
- Keep aisles, benches, and shared areas clean, orderly, and hazard‑free.
- Support routine service and corrective repairs on CNC systems under guidance.
- Manage tools and materials—transport, stage, and store them safely and correctly.
- Carry out basic mechanical assembly and disassembly tasks as assigned.
- Help track consumables and components; restock and log inventory activity.
- Follow safety procedures and proactively maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline flow, reduce downtime, and improve throughput.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Background in manufacturing or CNC settings is beneficial.
- Precise, instruction‑driven work style and a strong eye for detail.
- Mechanical curiosity with a desire to learn and grow.
- Comfort lifting and moving heavy items; able to perform physical tasks.
- Clear communicator and reliable team player.
- Knowledge of shop safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license.
Hands-On Strengths (Preferred)
- Diagnosing equipment issues; mechanical and general troubleshooting.
- Reading electrical schematics; working with electrical/electronic systems.
- Soldering and conduit pulling.
- Pneumatics know‑how and pneumatics troubleshooting.
- Single‑ and three‑phase power; exposure to 120/208/240/480V and high‑voltage systems.
- Motor maintenance, repair, and replacement.
- Conveyor chain replacement and general maintenance/repair skills.
- Pipefitting and mechanical assembly abilities.
- Installation, wiring, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
- Blueprint interpretation and accurate tape‑measure use.
- Excellent communication; High School/GED.
Tools and Tech You’ll Encounter
- Warehouse management software and labeling systems.
- HVAC systems; heat guns; Fluke multimeters.
- Protective eyewear (safety glass).
- Material handling: Hyster sit‑down forklifts and pallet jacks; overhead crane; crane.
- Transportation: box trucks and cargo vans.
- Cutting and shaping: circular saw (Skil), band saw, belt sander, manual grinder, manual plasma cutter (Miller).
- Power tool families: DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch, Ryobi, Hilti.
- Machining and forming: manual lathe, engine lathe, press brake (Cincinnati).
- Production systems: conveyor systems; paint sprayer.
- Forklifts (Hyster).
