The CNC Programming Engineer develops and maintains CNC programs for 2, 2.5, 3, and 5-axis machining centers, turret punch presses, and automated cutting systems—approximately 75–80% of the role. The remaining effort supports manufacturing engineering activities including fixture design, process improvement, and sustaining documentation in a regulated medical device environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Skills and Abilities
Education and/or Experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field; or 5+ years of hands-on CNC programming experience with demonstrated multi-axis capability is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, aerospace, or similar) is preferred.

Must be able to lift, stoop, kneel, walk, and have fine motor coordination sufficient to manipulate small objects and tooling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally carry that weight for short distances.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and CNC machining equipment. The employee may also be exposed to cutting fluids, coolants, and other process chemicals; appropriate PPE is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud during machining operations.
