CNC Programmer/Operator
JOB DESCRIPTION
Clean Air Engineering (CleanAir) is a leading global environmental engineering and
consulting company that has been in business since 1972. CleanAirâs Express
Manufacturing team located in Palatine, Illinois has an immediate opening for a full-time,
CNC Programmer/Operator.
We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The
ideal candidate will possess a strong background in CNC programming, machining, and
precision measurement. This role involves operating a HAAS VF-2 CNC milling
machine to produce high-quality components while adhering to strict specifications and
tolerances. The CNC Programmer/Operator will play a vital role in ensuring the
efficiency and accuracy of our production processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for working with design files.
- Strong understanding of speed and feed rates, cutting parameters, and machining best practices.
- Knowledge of Tool and Die procedures, tooling selection, and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T.
- Strong math and computer skills to support programming accuracy and problem solving.
- Develops methods, procedures and tools to achieve the most economical cost of manufacturing.
- Streamlines manufacturing processes to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Performs required preventative machine maintenance when needed.
- Attend department meetings as necessary with the team to communicate specific
customer requirements, scheduled conflicts, quality, etc.
- Perform duties such as assembling, dismantling, moving, installing or repairing to
blueprint specifications along with other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or degree preferred.
- Prior experience in CNC programming and operation preferred.
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop environment.
