TEMP TO FULL-TIME ROLE
Provides programming support for machining parts, tools, or sheet metal on numerically controlled machines tools by writing programs of machine instructions in symbolic language to encode numerical control tape or
direct numerical control database to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.
- Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for Haas Mill and Lathe machines to manufacture precision aerospace components and tooling.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, CAD models, and Mastercam technical knowledge and specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, machining strategies, and cutting parameters.
- Set up and prove out CNC programs, troubleshoot machining issues, and optimize cycle times.
- Manufacture prototypes, R&D, production, and rework parts to meet engineering requirements.
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, work instructions, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, design engineers, machinists, and quality personnel to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling documentation, and revision control.
- Identify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, reduce scrap, lower costs, and improve delivery performance.
