    Description

    Our client is a well-established precision machining company with decades of experience delivering high-quality components across a range of industries. They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join their first-shift team in Castle Hayne, NC. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with both CNC mill and lathe operations, along with the programming knowledge to support efficient, accurate production.

    Job Responsibilities -

    - Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and lathe machines.

    - Develop, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using G-code software.

    - Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers.

    - Verify part dimensions and tolerances using precision measurement tools.

    - Load and fixture parts accurately, performing tool selection and offset adjustments.

    - Monitor machining processes and make real-time adjustments to maintain consistency.

    - Partner with programming and machining teams, production teams to identify opportunities for improvement.



    Job Requirements -

    - Minimum 3-5 years of experience with G-code programming; hands-on experience with CAM platforms such as Mastercam or Fusion 360, or others.

    - CNC machining experience with demonstrated capability on both milling and lathe equipment.

    - Proven ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles while consistently achieving tight tolerance requirements.

    - Hands-on proficiency with precision metrology tools, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

    - High attention to detail with a commitment to first-article quality and in-process inspection.

    - Experience machining both small precision components and larger workpieces across varied materials is preferred.
