Create, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs using CAD/CAM software. Design and develop tooling, fixturing, workholding solutions, and machining strategies for complex parts. Evaluate product specifications and customer requirements to determine the most effective manufacturing approach. Support quoting activities by estimating cycle times, production costs, and manufacturing feasibility. Partner with machinists and production personnel to improve process efficiency, quality, safety, and throughput. Lead new product introduction activities and assist with prototype development. Collaborate with quality teams to ensure compliance with dimensional and customer requirements. Analyze manufacturing challenges and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve productivity. Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and engineering records. Work closely with suppliers and vendors regarding equipment, tooling, materials, and outsourced processes. Participate in customer discussions to provide technical expertise and manufacturing guidance. Support sales and business development efforts through technical input, presentations, and proposal development. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, yield improvement, and operational excellence. Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing best practices. Experience using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, PartMaker, SolidWorks, or similar platforms. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, models, and technical specifications. Knowledge of manufacturing support processes such as heat treating, grinding, anodizing, plating, or finishing operations. Familiarity with metrology, inspection methods, SPC, and process capability concepts. Experience developing manufacturing documentation and process instructions. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, production teams, and leadership. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred; equivalent manufacturing and process engineering experience will also be considered.
