CNC Press Brake, Laser Cutting & Punch Fabrication Specialist
Job Store Staffing is partnering with a respected manufacturing company in Colorado Springs to directly hire a meticulous CNC sheet metal expert. In this role, you’ll transform engineering intent into high-precision parts by reading complex prints, setting up equipment, and executing tight-tolerance fabrication.
A Day in the Life
Your shift starts at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM. You review blueprints and work orders, plan your setups, and choose the most efficient sequence—laser, punch, or shear—before moving parts to forming and assembly. You’ll:
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to define fabrication steps.
- Set up and operate CNC press brakes, CNC laser cutters, shears, hardware insertion tools, and CNC punch presses.
- Perform layout, cutting, bending, forming, and assembly on aluminum and mild steel to exacting tolerances.
- Verify quality in-process using calipers, micrometers, and other precision metrology tools.
- Use hand and power tools such as pneumatic riveters, belt sanders, drills, and taps to finish and assemble.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve fit, form, and process challenges.
- Complete routine machine care and follow all safety standards.
What You Bring
- 2 to 5+ years in precision sheet metal fabrication.
- Expertise in reading mechanical drawings and understanding material gauges and forming methods.
- Proficiency with measurement tools, hand tools, and shop power equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for a full shift.
- Strong self-management and exceptional attention to detail.
Preferred Extras
- Vocational/technical certification.
- Experience with TRUMPF equipment.
- Familiarity with machine file software and tooling selection.
- Background in aerospace, medical, or electronics manufacturing standards.

Pay
$24.00–$30.00 per hour (DOE)
