    At IMS Gear in Gainesville, GA, your shift begins with a machine check, a quick review of work instructions, and a focused plan for quality. As a CNC Precision Machining Technician, you’ll keep our production lines moving—loading parts, dialing in basic adjustments, and confirming every component meets spec before it moves on.

    A Day in the Life

    • Start up and run CNC equipment by loading/unloading parts and making routine offsets or basic adjustments.
    • Use measurement tools to inspect parts, record data, and verify conformance to print.
    • Perform simple maintenance and first-level troubleshooting to keep machines productive.
    • Document output, sustain workflow, and escalate issues promptly to your lead or supervisor.
    • Operate to established safety, quality, and environmental systems (ISO 14001, IATF 16949, 6IMS).

    Shifts

    • 2nd: 2:55pm–11:05pm (plus $1 shift differential)
    • 3rd: 10:55pm–7:05am (plus $1 shift differential)

    What You Bring

    Experience

    • 1–2 years in manufacturing or machine operation (3+ years a strong plus)
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

    Skills

    • Mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn CNC processes
    • Sharp eye for detail and quality
    • Ability to follow work instructions and use standard gauges/measurement tools
    • Comfort with basic math, computers, and the metric system
    • Dependable, collaborative, and ready to contribute

    Work Environment

    • Fast-paced manufacturing floor with active production lines
    • PPE required: safety glasses and safety toe shoes
    • Team-centered culture where your output matters

    Physical Demands

    • Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull materials using equipment
    • Frequent standing, hand use, and movement throughout the shift
    • Occasional bending, reaching, and kneeling
