CNC Plasma / Waterjet Operator

This position involves operating CNC plasma and waterjet cutting equipment, handling heavy steel plate, and using overhead cranes to move materials safely throughout the fabrication process. Pay: $23–$26/hour
Shift: 1st Shift | 40–50 Hours per Week

This position involves operating CNC plasma and waterjet cutting equipment, handling heavy steel plate, and using overhead cranes to move materials safely throughout the fabrication process.

We are seeking dependable candidates with previous plasma or waterjet experience who are comfortable working in a hands-on industrial manufacturing environment.

Job Duties

• Operate CNC plasma tables and waterjet cutting equipment to process steel plate.
• Load existing cutting programs and monitor equipment during operation.
• Safely load and unload heavy materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
• Handle carbon steel and stainless steel materials.
• Piece-mark, sort, and organize finished parts into boxes, pallets, and plate racks.
• Remove remaining plate skeletons, manage scrap materials, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Requirements

• Previous plasma table or waterjet operating experience required.
• Industrial manufacturing or steel fabrication experience required.
• Overhead crane operation and rigging experience required.
• Experience handling heavy steel plate and fabricated materials.
• Basic computer skills to load and run existing machine programs.
• Ability to follow work instructions and safely operate industrial equipment.

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced operating CNC plasma tables, waterjets, or similar plate-cutting equipment.
• Comfortable handling heavy steel materials using overhead cranes and proper rigging practices.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work independently while following established production procedures.
• Comfortable working 40–50 hours per week in an industrial fabrication environment.
