Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM (Overtime as needed)
Orientation: Always scheduled at 8:00 AMPosition Overview:
People Source OKC is hiring a CNC Operator for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position involves operating and setting up CNC machines to produce precision parts. Candidates must be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to maintain quality standards while working in a production environment.Desired Traits: Safety Conscious, Mechanically Inclined, Strong Math Skills, AustereJob Responsibilities:
  • Read production orders, gauges, blueprints, and material specifications 
  • Translate detailed part drawings into accurate measurements for production 
  • Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, and sawing 
  • Inspect finished parts using appropriate gauging techniques 
  • Maintain accurate defective material reports and documentation 
  • Perform traceability marking and maintain required records 
  • Operate overhead crane and forklift as needed 
  • Monitor machine operation and identify worn or damaged cutting tools 
  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed rate, and cutting path 
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance, chip removal, and shop housekeeping 
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas 
  • Assist in other fabrication areas as needed 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
Requirements:
  • Prior CNC Operator experience OR completion of CNC technical/trade school 
  • Strong math skills including decimals and fractions 
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents 
  • Mechanically inclined with basic machining and tooling knowledge 
  • Ability to interpret safety rules and operating procedures 
  • Limited computer knowledge required 
  • Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, and speak) 
  • Must have reliable transportation 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed 
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening (if applicable) 
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment with machinery and moving equipment 
  • Requires standing, walking, reaching, and hand coordination throughout shift 
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs 
  • Must maintain attention to detail and follow strict safety procedures
