for a full-time Experienced CNC Machine Operator II to join our team!

CNC Operator II - 2nd Shift

The Gund Company - Walnut, CA

Schedule: 1:30 PM-10:00 PM | Monday-Friday | Full-Time

Pay: $25.41+ based on experience + 15% Shift Differential

What You'll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, and machining centers)
  • Load materials, secure parts, and execute work orders based on specifications and blueprints
  • Ensure parts meet quality standards through inspection and measurement
  • Complete work order documentation accurately
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Collaborate with team members and assist with training others
  • Follow all safety and quality standards while actively contributing ideas for improvement

What You Bring

  • Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
  • Experience operating CNC equipment or similar machining tools
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Basic to intermediate math skills and problem-solving ability
  • Experience using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production

Preferred Experience

  • Prior manufacturing or machining experience
  • Vocational or technical training in machining or fabrication
  • 5 Axis machine set-up and operation with Haas, Doosan.

Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods
  • Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures
  • Communicate with supervisor on work order priority
  • Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts
  • Basic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes
  • Ability to use basic measuring instruments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed

Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience, or equivalent
  • A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination

of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred
