Position Overview
We are seeking a CNC Operator to join a manufacturing team in Aberdeen, NC. The CNC Operator will operate CNC machinery to produce precision components while maintaining production, quality, and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating CNC equipment, reading work instructions or blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and inspecting finished parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components
- Set up and secure workpieces using appropriate fixtures and tooling
- Follow CNC programs, work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
- Monitor machine operation and production processes
- Perform in-process and final inspections
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures
- Make basic machine adjustments and tool/offset changes as required
- Identify dimensional or quality issues and make appropriate adjustments
- Monitor tooling for wear or damage
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Keep machines and work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Meet established production and quality standards
Qualifications
- Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred
- Manufacturing or machining experience
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and work instructions
- Familiarity with CNC controls and machine operation
- Experience using precision measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/handle materials as required
