CNC Operator 2nd Shift

This position requires access to export-controlled technical data subject to US export control laws (including ITAR) . Support CNC machine upkeep, including coolant levels, filter cleaning, and chip removal.

Job Title: CNC Operator (2nd Shift)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30PM to 12:05AM
Pay: $19.00 to $28.00 (DOE)

Job Summary
Support daily aerospace manufacturing operations in a fast-paced team environment. Focus on operating CNC milling centers, maintaining production flow, and ensuring quality and safety standards. Flexibility and attention to detail are essential.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate multiple 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines simultaneously
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts to sustain production
• Monitor machining cycles to ensure continuous operation
• Verify setup accuracy with internal documentation and job travelers
• Inspect cutter assemblies and monitor tool life using micrometers and calipers
• Replace cutting tools as needed
• Perform basic dimensional and geometric inspections on machined parts
• Complete deburring and edge break for part safety and downstream processes
• Maintain part quality per AS9100 standards
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling and work holding
• Keep work areas clean and organized following 6S standards
• Log production activities accurately in the ERP system
• Support CNC machine upkeep, including coolant levels, filter cleaning, and chip removal
• Identify and report opportunities for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Entry level to junior CNC experience preferred
• Aerospace manufacturing exposure a plus
• Ability to read basic manufacturing documentation and travelers
• Proficient in using hand measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred or willing to train
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Team-oriented with flexibility to support production needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
