    Picture starting your day on a first-shift team in the Wheeling area, stepping up to a modern CNC milling workstation at an established precision manufacturer. Your work will help power aerospace, defense, medical, and other advanced applications that demand accuracy and consistency—every single cycle.

    A day in the life

    • Run CNC milling machines to produce precision components to spec
    • Load/unload parts, materials, and tooling to keep production moving
    • Make basic offsets, adjustments, and tool changes as needed
    • Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to understand requirements
    • Verify part quality with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related inspection tools
    • Watch machine performance during runs and flag potential quality or tooling issues early
    • Hold tight tolerances and confirm parts meet quality standards
    • Complete production documentation and follow established procedures
    • Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for the next job

    What you’ll bring

    • Hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines (or similar CNC equipment)
    • Comfort working in a precision machining/manufacturing environment
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
    • Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and other basic inspection tools
    • Understanding of machining tools and fundamentals of CNC processes
    • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
    • CNC setup experience is a plus but not required
