A day in the life
- Run CNC milling machines to produce precision components to spec
- Load/unload parts, materials, and tooling to keep production moving
- Make basic offsets, adjustments, and tool changes as needed
- Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers to understand requirements
- Verify part quality with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related inspection tools
- Watch machine performance during runs and flag potential quality or tooling issues early
- Hold tight tolerances and confirm parts meet quality standards
- Complete production documentation and follow established procedures
- Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for the next job
What you’ll bring
- Hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines (or similar CNC equipment)
- Comfort working in a precision machining/manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and other basic inspection tools
- Understanding of machining tools and fundamentals of CNC processes
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- CNC setup experience is a plus but not required
