You walk up to a mill‑turn cell, review the print, and set the tone for quality that will end up in operating rooms around the world. As our CNC Mill‑Turn Setup & Operations Specialist, you’ll turn raw stock into finely crafted medical instruments and implants—every feature verified, every edge deburred, every step documented.

    A day in the life

    • Kick off with a careful read of the latest traveler and I.P. sheets, confirming material, program, and inspection checkpoints.
    • Complete setup on a CNC mill‑turn machine—load tools, touch off, verify offsets, and prep for first article.
    • Run the initial piece, record results in the First Piece Log, and adjust as needed to hit spec.
    • Operate the mill‑turn independently to produce precision parts for medical instruments and implants.
    • Deburr components and perform in‑process checks using precision measurement tools to ensure quality throughout the run.
    • Handle change‑overs, including tool size changes, and set tooling across the different machines assigned to your zone.
    • Keep the machine healthy with daily preventive maintenance you perform yourself.
    • Wrap up each job by completing required documentation (job traveler, I.P. sheets, and related records).

    What you’ll bring

    • 2+ years operating CNC machinery with hands‑on mill‑turn experience preferred.
    • Advanced print interpretation skills and strong command of GD&T.
    • Proven ability to complete CNC setups from start to first‑piece approval.
    • Collaborative mindset and reliability working within a production team.

    Your technical toolkit

    • GD&T application and inspection
    • CNC tooling selection, presetting, and maintenance
    • G‑code and M‑code fluency
    • CNC machine setup and changeover
