PPS is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Setup / Operator for a full-time opportunity with our manufacturing partner. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist with strong CNC milling, machine setup, and troubleshooting experience who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills to manufacture precision components according to blueprint specifications.
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes, workholding, and fixturing.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, job travelers, and setup sheets.
- Inspect parts throughout production to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Read, edit, and troubleshoot G and M code.
- Identify and resolve machining issues, including tool deflection, bowing, and warping.
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Strong CNC milling setup and operation skills.
- Experience with Fanuc-based controls and G/M code editing.
- Extensive knowledge of tooling, workholding, and fixturing.
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints and perform in-process inspections.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with 5-face milling applications is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
