    Description

    2nd Shift: MONDAY - THURSDAY 2:15PM-12:45AM.
    (4) (10) hour shifts)

    Roles & Responsibilities:
    Setup, layout and operate various CNC lathes and/or mills
    Reads blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances and tooling instructions such as fixtures, cutting speeds, depth of cut and determines sequence of operations.
    Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder.
    Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures.
    Moves controls to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds and depth of cut.
    Sets up fixture, starts machine.
    Requires ability to read precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
    Observes operation of machine and verifies conformity of machined work piece to specifications.
    Keeps work area clean and orderly
    Follows all Company rules and safety policies.
    Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
    Core Competency Requirements:
    Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
    Adjusts, trim and fitting parts to close tolerances.
    Follows visual aids (standard work) to ensure work is correct.
    May perform testing of assembled product.
    Make up cartons, print labels, insert protective packing material, seal finishing product.
    Meet efficiency rates.
    Perform quality checks to ensure quality specifications are met.
    Work within all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE (steel toe shoes, hearing protection and
    safety glasses).
    Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor or team leader.
    Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition - 5S.
    Must be flexible to rotate job assignments within various work cells.
    Performs related duties as assigned by supervision
    Required Qualifications:
    High School Diploma or equivalent
    1+ yrs of previous CNC experience preferred

    Ability to add and subtract/basic math.
    Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    Good hand-eye coordination.
    Ability to lift up to 25lb.
    Ability to stand 90% of shift.
