CNC Manufacturing Technologist — Downhole & Drilling Tooling

You take a raw billet and, through smart programming and a rock-solid setup, turn it into a precision component that performs hundreds of feet underground. That’s the impact you’ll have building parts for drilling and geotechnical systems where accuracy and repeatability matter.

Your mission

• Convert prints into reliable programs using G-code or CAM to produce complex precision parts for drilling/geotechnical equipment.
• Engineer and execute complex setups—fixturing, tooling selection, and offsets—to ensure first-piece success.
• Machine tight-tolerance components from steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys with confidence.
• Inspect every feature to blueprint specifications and sign off on quality.
• Hunt down process issues, then apply corrective actions to boost quality and throughput.
• Mentor CNC Operators and Assistants to strengthen the bench.
• Capture accurate production and inspection data for full traceability.

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Fluency in G-code programming.
• Demonstrated ability to hold ±0.001" tolerances.

Bonus points

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology.
• CAM toolpathing experience with Mastercam or Fusion 360.
• Hands-on experience machining drill rods or downhole tools.

Working here

• Stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Work around cutting fluids, fine metal dust, and machine noise.
• PPE is required at all times for safety.
