CNC Manufacturing Technician, Turning Centers

Your mission

Own the transformation from blueprint to finished part on our CNC and semiautomatic equipment. In this on-site role in Cortland, NY, you’ll be a key maker on a team that thrives on continuous improvement and problem solving.

How you’ll contribute

  1. Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes (2–4 axis) to produce complex components, subassemblies, and final assemblies in a continuous production environment.
  2. Load or modify programs, generate setup sheets, deburr, sharpen tools, and configure tooling to meet tight tolerances.
  3. Document everything: maintain accurate records and logs and capture data for Engineering review.
  4. Troubleshoot machine issues and propose solutions, working with limited supervision while taking direction from your Production Supervisor and collaborating with experienced teammates.

Schedule options

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–10:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30 PM–6:30 AM

What you’ll need

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 18+ months of relevant CNC operator experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CNC tooling and machine setup/changeover
  • Physical ability to stand/sit/bend/reach/squat/kneel/push/pull for at least 8 hours and lift/move up to 50 lbs
