    CNC Manufacturing Machinist – Fanuc/Mastercam, Specialty Trackwork

    Your impact

    • Produce precision components that keep specialty trackwork operating safely.
    • Support continuous production on first shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) at our Memphis, TN facility.
    • Raise quality by applying GD&T, accurate measurement, and disciplined documentation.

    Core responsibilities

    • Operate CNC milling machines per specifications to achieve tight tolerances.
    • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and CNC programs.
    • Learn and perform minor program edits; adjust speeds/feeds under guidance.
    • Execute supervised setups and tooling changes.
    • Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment to verify features.
    • Load and unload parts via overhead crane; follow safe rigging practices.
    • Complete quality records and conduct routine machine maintenance.
    • Assist with component assembly using hand and power tools.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; collaborate with teammates.

    Minimum qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.).
    • At least 5 years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
    • Proficiency reading CNC programs and complex prints.
    • Solid mechanical aptitude and basic shop math.
    • Detail-focused with strong quality mindset.
    • Ability to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee.

    Preferred

    • Associate’s/technical degree.
    • Rail industry background.
    • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
    • Forklift certification.
    • Overhead crane operating experience.

    Proficiencies & tech stack

    • CNC Tooling; CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
    • CNC Programming; G-Code; M-Code
    • Tape measure reading and precision inspection tools; CMM
    • CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) (Fanuc)
    • CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Haas, Fanuc)
    • CAM Software (Mastercam)
