My client is seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer that will combine hands-on CNC programming with broader manufacturing engineering responsibilities. Description
The CNC Manufacturing Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs for multi-axis mills and lathes (primarily using Siemens NX).
- Design efficient workholding and fixturing solutions to support production.
- Collaborate with machinists and production staff to resolve technical challenges.
- Select tooling and recommend process improvements to reduce cycle times and increase tool life.
- Support NPI by assisting in process planning and documentation.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including setup sheets, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to manufacturing issues.
- Assist with lean manufacturing initiatives, cost reduction projects, and continuous improvement activities.

Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with Siemens NX or MasterCAM
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
- Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing standards is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
