CNC Machinist

Millennium Power Services is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CNC and Manual Machinist to join our team in Westfield, MA. As a Machinist, you will play a key role in our production process, utilizing your expertise to fabricate precision parts using both manual and CNC machining techniques. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about precision machining.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment including:
• • Manual lathes and mills
  • PROTO TRAK lathes and milling machines
  • Bridgeport machines
  • Haas and Doosan multi-axis machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
• Program and edit machining operations using Mastercam and Proto Trak controls
• Select tooling, fixtures, inserts, and materials for efficient machining operations
• Manufacture precision components while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and depth gauges
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to improve performance and minimize downtime
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and fellow machinists to improve processes and production efficiency
• Maintain accurate production and job records

Qualifications:

• 5–7+ years of machining experience preferred
• Strong background in both CNC and manual machining
• Experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC equipment
• Mastercam programming experience preferred
• Experience with Haas and Doosan machines is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and metal properties
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Solid math and geometry skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical training or machining certifications are a plus

Schedule

• Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Overtime and weekend work available as needed
• Opportunity for occasional travel to customer sites
