Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Claremore, OK

Job Type: 12-month contract, W2

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Onsite, 6am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Description:

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting CNC equipment to produce precision-machined components that meet strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting blueprints, working with GD&T requirements, performing dimensional inspections, and making machine adjustments to ensure accurate production.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and other production machinery.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

• Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments and ensure parts meet required tolerances.

• Make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

• Apply GD&T principles during machining and inspection processes.

• Follow established manufacturing procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with team members to resolve production challenges.

• Complete required production, quality, and inspection documentation.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes and quality performance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining experience.

• Ability to read and interpret:

• Blueprints and engineering drawings

• Safety rules and procedures

• Operating and maintenance instructions

• Procedure manuals and work instructions

• Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts in machining operations.

• Ability to calculate dimensions, perform measurements, and make machine adjustments.

• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar equipment.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC lathes, mills, and saws.

• Journeyman-level machining skills.

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial equipment, or oilfield equipment production environment.

• Familiarity with high-precision machining and dimensional inspection processes.
