Job Title: CNC machinist / Technician

Duration: 2 Months
Introduction
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Technician to join our team for a 2-month project. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual and CNC machining, coupled with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Experience inspecting machined parts using precision instrumentation
- High school diploma or GED
- US Citizenship is a must
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with prototype work including designing and creating fixtures
- Working knowledge of Mastercam
- Prior work experience in the client's industry
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related machine-shop equipment
- Independently set up, program, and run CNC machines
- Create, modify, and maintain fixturing for machining complex components
- Generate CNC programs and machining instructions using CAD/CAM inputs
- Troubleshoot machining operations and adjust parameters for quality and safety
- Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with specifications
- Document work performed and communicate changes or challenges to engineering partners
- Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
