Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, verticals, and horizontals
- Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and technical instructions
- Adjust offsets, change tooling, and maintain dimensional accuracy
- Perform machine changeovers for different part numbers
- Write or edit CNC programs for new production parts
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Load raw materials, unload finished parts, and perform deburring
- Complete daily maintenance and maintain a clean work area
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
- Strong experience with CNC setup and operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Proficiency using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Solid math skills related to machining and tolerances
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
Preferences
- Experience programming CNC machines
- Ability to run multiple machines simultaneously
- Experience working with tight tolerances and complex parts
- Background in preventive maintenance tasks
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Non-climate-controlled shop with elevated noise levels
- Required PPE: safety glasses and steel-toe boots
- Frequent standing (up to 10 hours), lifting, bending, and reaching
- Use of pallet jacks and material handling equipment
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
Schedule
- Monday - Thursday: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Overtime available on Fridays as needed
