CNC Machinists - Solon, OH - JOB 26-00520

Pay Range: $25.00 - $32.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A Solon, Ohio manufacturer is recruiting skilled CNC Machinists. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate precision multi-axis CNC and manual machinery to manufacture complex, high-tolerance components for specialized industries like aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling machines, turning centers, and manual shop equipment (lathes, vertical mills, grinders).
  • Read, interpret, and adjust G-code/M-code programs at the control or via CAD/CAM software to match detailed specifications.
  • Analyze complex engineering drawings, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to plan precise machining sequences.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process quality checks using micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and dial indicators to ensure tight tolerances.
  • Set up, align, and adapt custom jigs, holding fixtures, and specialized cutting tools for specialized production runs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (coolant/fluid levels) and resolve mechanical or program errors during trial runs

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a precision job shop, aerospace, or medical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgy, tool selection, speeds, feeds, and machining exotic metals, alloys, and plastics.
  • Proficient in shop math, including geometry, algebra, and trigonometry for blueprint layout.
  • Ability to stand for long shifts, perform repetitive movements, and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma/GED required; completion of a machining apprenticeship or vocational certificate preferred.
