Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist role in Sherwood, OR. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine attachments based on job requirements.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Perform first article inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and offsets to maintain efficiency.
- Work with G-code and M-code programming to optimize machine operations.
- Maintain accurate production and quality control records.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation, setup, and programming.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications.
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controls is a plus.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in CNC Machining, Precision Manufacturing, or related field.
- Experience working with large-scale machining and heavy industrial components.
- Knowledge of CAM software (Mastercam, Esprit, or similar).
