About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Machinist to join a busy machine shop in Costa Mesa. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines, completing first article inspections, and supporting production in a fast-paced shop environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathe machines, including HAAS and Mazak equipment.

• Run first article parts and make adjustments as needed.

• Operate machines once setups are complete.

• Troubleshoot machining issues and support production efficiency.

• Work with live tooling and Y-axis machines.

• Set up and run multiple machines per day.

• Follow job travelers, instructions, and production requirements.

• Use auto bar feeders and loaders in a production shop environment.

• Maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards.
