Job Overview 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality. As a Machinist, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the production of high-quality components across a range of industries. 

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 

Machine Operation 

Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC equipment to produce precision parts. 
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or CAD designs to determine machining operations and specifications. 
Monitor machines during operation to ensure the desired output is achieved within tolerances. 
 

Quality Assurance 

Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 
Make necessary adjustments to machines or tools to maintain precision and prevent defects. 
Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality protocols throughout the manufacturing process. 
 

Maintenance and Troubleshooting 

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 
Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions to minimize production delays. 
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to facilitate safe operations. 
 

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement 

Work closely with engineers, production managers, and other team members to optimize machining processes. 
Provide input on tooling, materials, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 
Stay updated on advancements in machining technology and best practices. 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining is preferred. 
Experience: Proven experience as a Machinist, with expertise in operating various machine tools and CNC equipment. 
Technical Skills: 
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. 
Strong understanding of machining principles and materials. 
Familiarity with precision measuring tools and instruments. 
 

Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality work with close tolerances. 

 

Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical skills for diagnosing and addressing machining issues. 

 

Physical Stamina: Capability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. 

 

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and documenting processes.
