Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist II to join our the team for a client in Virginia Beach, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multi-pallet CNC equipment, inspecting precision-machined parts, making tooling adjustments, troubleshooting machine/tooling issues, and ensuring finished parts meet required quality specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate multi-pallet CNC machines.
  • Perform complete inspections of machined parts according to process specifications.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including Vernier calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
  • Make necessary adjustments to tooling offsets.
  • Perform tool setting and manage tool life.
  • Troubleshoot CNC machine, tooling, and Fanuc alarm/error issues.
  • Read and interpret G-code and M-code.
  • Perform basic CNC machine maintenance and upkeep.
  • Maintain required quality standards and identify machining/process issues.
  • Support continuous improvement, waste reduction, and machine shop efficiency.
Qualifications Required:
  • 4+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience required.
  • Strong CNC setup and machine operation experience required.
  • Experience with tool setting, tooling offsets, and tool life management.
  • Ability to read and understand G-code required.
  • Experience troubleshooting Fanuc error codes required.
  • Strong experience using gauges and precision measuring instruments to inspect machined parts.
  • Advanced CNC tooling knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with Renishaw probing operations preferred.
  • Experience with CMM, grinders, drill presses, deburring, or related machining processes is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality and safety
Pay:
  • $25.00–$29.00/hr. + 7.5% shift differential upon transition to 2nd Shift
Schedule:
  • 2nd Shift: 
    • Monday–Thursday:7:00 PM – 3:30 AM; Friday: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Training Schedule:
    • 1st Shift:
      • Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM for approximately 90 days
