Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist II for a leading medical device manufacturer in Franklin, MA. This hands-on opportunity involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss-style machines to produce high-precision components used in medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss-style machines according to blueprints, setup sheets, and production specifications.
- Edit CNC programs, adjust tooling and machine settings, and troubleshoot machining issues.
- Inspect finished components using blueprints and specifications to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Machine precision components using stainless steel, nitinol, nickel alloys, and other specialty metals.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and support machine reliability.
- Maintain accurate production records and inspection documentation.
- Follow established safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 35+ years of CNC machining experience, including machine setup and operation.
- Experience setting up CNC equipment using technical drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and inspect parts to specifications.
- Experience editing CNC programs and troubleshooting machining processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using computer systems for production and quality documentation.
- CNC machining experience in medical device or precision manufacturing.
- Experience with Swiss-style CNC machines.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA, or GMP manufacturing standards.
- Experience machining stainless steel, nitinol, nickel alloys, or other specialty metals.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
