Job Description:
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and adjusting CNC equipment to produce precision-machined components that meet strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting blueprints, working with GD&T requirements, performing dimensional inspections, and making machine adjustments to ensure accurate production.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor CNC machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and other production machinery.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments and ensure parts meet required tolerances.
Make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
Apply GD&T principles during machining and inspection processes.
Follow established manufacturing procedures, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with team members to resolve production challenges.
Complete required production, quality, and inspection documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes and quality performance.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining experience.
Ability to read and interpret:
Blueprints and engineering drawings
Safety rules and procedures
Operating and maintenance instructions
Procedure manuals and work instructions
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts in machining operations.
Ability to calculate dimensions, perform measurements, and make machine adjustments.
Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar equipment.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating CNC lathes, mills, and saws.
Journeyman-level machining skills.
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial equipment, or oilfield equipment production environment.
Familiarity with high-precision machining and dimensional inspection processes.
