We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Boxborough, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and programming CNC machines, as well as a strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other technical documents
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality of machined parts
- Program CNC machines using G-code and other programming languages
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols
- Develop and maintain production schedules to support on-time delivery
- Follow established procedures and communicate effectively with management to meet quality standards
- Track and report work order progress, including quantities produced
- Operate a variety of equipment across multiple stages of the production process
- Cross-train in machining and assembly functions within the department
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure timely completion of projects
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines, including knowledge of G-code and other programming languages
- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Experience with precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
