CNC Machinist

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a CNC Machinist job in Bloomfield, CT. This CONTRACT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and machining castings, steel, aluminum, and brass components for mechanical assemblies. In order to be successful in this position, you must have hands-on CNC setup and programming experience along with the ability to read prints and programs. Preference will be given to someone with G-Code, FANUC, and Mazatrol programming experience.

CNC Machinist Job responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, mills, and grinders for production use.
• Operate drill presses, manual and automatic saws, Bridgeport, and deburring machines.
• Machine lower-level components from castings and raw material for mechanical assemblies.
• Read and interpret programs, prints, and coordination sheets, and verify speeds and feeds for tooling and materials.
• Inspect parts using specialized inspection equipment to ensure quality.
• Perform scheduled TPM on machines and support short lead-time and shutdown demands.

Qualifications:

• Three plus years of trade experience or trade school education
• G-Code, FANUC, and Mazatrol programming knowledge
• Machining experience with castings and raw material
• Ability to independently set up machines for production
• Strong commitment to safety, ethics, and quality
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

This contract CNC Machinist job is based in Bloomfield, CT. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $17.00 - $22.00. Contractors working through Aquinas Consulting are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, medical indemnity coverage, a 401(k) plan, and biweekly direct deposit pay. Contract roles do not include PTO unless required by applicable state laws.
