    CNC MachinistPurpose of Job
    Provide production support for machining operations by producing and testing parts using skilled machining processes and complex machine tools.

    Major Responsibilities
    • Set up and operate CNC machines, including horizontal and vertical mills and lathes, across a wide range of production operations
    • Select appropriate feeds and speeds;set up jobs according to engineering prints and setup procedures;install and adjust fixtures as needed
    • Read and interpret complex blueprints and drawings;create sketches when needed and make recommendations for print corrections
    • Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions and complete all required job documentation
    • Determine tooling and fixturing availability and identify suitable substitutes when necessary
    • Complete process documentation and data sheets accurately and on time
    • Perform in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met
    • Ensure all products meet or exceed customer quality expectations
    • Collaborate closely with multiple departments to support timely production and product completion
    • Communicate effectively across teams to ensure information is shared quickly and accurately
    • Support other departments as needed based on production requirements
    • Maintain a strong commitment to safety at all times

    Desired Skills, Competencies, and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 3 5 years of machining experience, including CNC machining center setup and operation
    • Experienced manual machinist
    • Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and maintain CNC equipment
    • Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code
    • Proficient in use of measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers with tight tolerances
    • Understanding of dimensional tolerances and inspection standards
    • Basic ERP system knowledge
    • Ability to read and interpret quality specifications
    • Strong planning, prioritization, and attention to detail skills
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
    • Proficient with basic computer systems
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
