CNC Machinist

Job Overview:

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking CNC Machinists for a growing custom machining facility in the Capital Region. This is not a high-volume production environment—machinists work on a variety of custom and short-run projects using different materials, parts, and machining processes. Candidates will have the opportunity to perform setup, machining, troubleshooting, and programming work on Mazak CNC equipment while producing precision components for industries such as power generation, infrastructure, defense, and data centers. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and taking pride in producing high-quality work in a stable, team-oriented environment with long-term growth opportunities.

Job Type:

Full-Time | In Person

Pay:

$36.00 - $42.00+ per hour (based on experience)

Tasks:

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC machining centers

• Program and edit CNC programs at the machine

• Machine custom and short-run precision components

• Work with a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, Inconel, and specialty metals

• Read blueprints and technical drawings

• Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools

• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Collaborate with team members to solve manufacturing challenges

Qualifications:

• CNC machining experience required

• Setup experience strongly preferred

• Mazak experience preferred

• Multi-axis or 5-axis machining experience preferred

• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments

• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude

• Job shop experience preferred

• Stable work history and team-oriented attitude
