CNC Machinist needed for busy shop in Bakersfield, CA! This local company has been in business for over 50 years and is looking for a skilled machinist to join their team. This CNC Machinist will apply their knowledge to assist in the manufacturing of important parts and meet exact standards for various industries such as agriculture, oil and food production.
Other job functions include:
· Set up and calibrate machines, including installing tools, fixtures and materials required for the job
· Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
· Monitor production runs to ensure machines operate properly and parts are within tolerances
· Perform quality checks utilizing measuring tools
· Troubleshoot, diagnose and perform routine equipment maintenance
This is a long-term, full-time position in Bakersfield, CA. Day shift and night shifts available. Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Company offers excellent benefits. ***Salary can be negotiated to commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience as a CNC Machinist
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge and use of all precision measuring tools and instruments
Understanding of CNC programming languages and machine code offsets
Strong mathematical skills
Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
