CNC Set Up Machinist

Shift: 2nd, (2PM-10PM)

Pay: $25-$32/Hr.

We are seeking experienced CNC Set-Up Machinists with a strong background in CNC milling, including 5-axis machining, to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented machinist who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and producing precision components in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

Job Description:
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision metal and nonmetal components.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and machining instructions to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup requirements.
  • Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, workholding devices, and other necessary tooling.
  • Verify machine setups and program data through trial runs and dimensional inspections.
  • Monitor machining operations, identify issues, and make adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, measuring tools, and other precision inspection equipment.
  • Ensure components meet drawing specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate important information between shifts.
  • Meet production goals while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
