    Job Title: CNC Machine Set-Up Operator III - Group Lead

    Location: DeLand, FL

    Reports To: Operations Manager

    Schedule

    • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with a 1-hour unpaid meal break.

    • Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

    Position Summary

    Hands-on working lead responsible for coordinating daily activities in the machining and tooling area while performing CNC setup, operation, and programming in a MIM environment. Provides technical guidance, supports production flow, and serves as an escalation point for machining, tooling, quality, and equipment issues.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate daily workflow, priorities, and task assignments within the machining/tooling area.

    • Perform setup and operation of CNC and other production machines.

    • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks.

    • Select and adjust tooling, fixtures, offsets, and machine settings.

    • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues.

    • Inspect parts and make adjustments to maintain quality and specifications.

    • Verify job travelers, work orders, and production documentation for accuracy and compliance.

    • Provide hands-on training, guidance, and support to team members.

    • Monitor production, quality, and workflow and escalate issues as appropriate.

    • Promote adherence to safety, GMP, GDP, and standard work requirements.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma and additional technical school certifications preferred.

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC and machine setup and operation.

    • Advanced CNC setup, operation, tooling, and troubleshooting experience.

    • Experience with CAD/CAM programming and SolidWorks.

    • Knowledge of machining processes, blueprints, GD&T, and inspection methods.

    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Ability to lead and coordinate work without direct supervisory authority.
