CNC Machine Repair Technician III - 2nd Shift
Location: Lafayette, IN | Pay Rate: $28-$30/hr | 6-Month Contract
About the Role
Join a dynamic industrial team as a CNC Machine Repair Technician III on 2nd shift (1pm-9:30pm) in Lafayette, IN. This high-impact role will leverage your maintenance expertise to ensure the reliability and performance of advanced CNC machine tools in a large-scale facility. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex CNC machinery and electrical systems
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance using CMMS to minimize downtime
- Conduct independent safety assessments and recommend process improvements
- Interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and prints for efficient repairs
- Operate diagnostic tools, hand tools, and laptops to resolve technical issues
- Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures (lockout/tag-out, PPE, etc.)
- Provide timely feedback and service to customers on all work orders
- Support team efforts to solve problems and drive equipment performance improvements
- Complete general maintenance and any other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years' experience in industrial equipment maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting ability with electrical and mechanical systems
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics
- Valid driver's license; able to pass a pre-employment substance test
- Physically able to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, and walk extensively
- Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet and using aerial lifts
- U.S. citizenship required (facility access); must obtain site security badge
Preferred Skills
- Associate's degree in industrial electrical or related field
- Experience with 480V 3-phase circuits and electric motor repairs
- Familiarity with PC-based work order/time reporting systems
