Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medium Mill Turn Operator to operate and monitor mill-turn machinery used in manufacturing precision parts, in the Forest Park, OH area.. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining, blueprint reading, measuring instruments, and quality inspection. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining production and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate medium-sized mill-turn machines to manufacture precision components.
Load and unload materials and finished parts.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
Identify machining issues and report equipment malfunctions.
Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating CNC mill-turn or similar machining equipment preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings.
Knowledge of precision measuring tools and quality inspection procedures.
Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, and machine adjustments.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Manufacturing or machining experience preferred.
