    General Job Description:

    CNC Machine Operator – Plasma & Laser Cutting

    1st and 2nd Shift Available

    $2,500 New Hire Bonus

    2nd Shift +15% Differential

     

    Greiner Industries is seeking CNC Machine Operators (Plasma/Laser) to operate our Kinetic plasma table and state-of-the-art laser cutting equipment. You’ll work in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment, producing high-quality parts to customer specifications while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality. Entry-level with machine operating experience and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply!

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate CNC plasma and laser cutting equipment to produce steel components

    • Set up and monitor machines according to job specifications

    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

    • Verify material, dimensions, and finished parts for accuracy and quality

    • Perform routine machine adjustments and troubleshoot basic operating issues

    • Load and position materials safely using appropriate equipment

    • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation

    • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

    Specific Qualifications:

    Duties may include: 

    • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or fabrication experience preferred

    • Experienced with cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment

    • Able to mount, load, and safely handle large materials using cranes and other lifting equipment

    • Knowledge of crane rigging and experience working with large parts is a plus

    • Able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and product specifications

    • Strong math and measurement skills with attention to detail

    • Able to set equipment controls and monitor machines to ensure accurate cuts

    • Experienced in inspecting completed work and measuring dimensions to verify conformance to specifications

    • Able to identify equipment malfunctions and work with others to resolve production or equipment issues

    • Comfortable operating in a steel fabrication environment with large parts, overhead cranes, and heavy equipment

    • Able to operate grinding equipment and smooth metal surfaces and edges

    • Willing to maintain and clean equipment and report maintenance issues to the appropriate lead
