We are currently hiring an experienced OD Machine Operator for a precision grinding company in Addison, IL.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual and/or CNC OD grinding machines, be comfortable reading blueprints, and have strong experience using precision measuring tools.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Available Start Times:
- 4:00 AM–12:30 PM
- 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
- 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate CNC, N/C, and manual OD grinding machines
- Set up and operate grinding equipment according to job specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and technical drawings
- Verify finished-part dimensions using:
- Micrometers
- Dial indicators
- Gauge blocks
- Calipers
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
- Monitor machine performance and production rates
- Identify and report safety, quality, machine, or productivity issues
- Complete production and inspection paperwork accurately
- Follow all company safety procedures and standard operating procedures
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
