Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable CNC Machine Operators to join a growing machine shop in Joplin. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates interested in developing CNC machining and manufacturing skills while building a long-term career.
Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience is preferred, but training is available for dependable candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, consistent attendance, and a willingness to learn.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous CNC, machine operation, manufacturing, or production experience preferred but not required
Entry-level candidates with a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
Dependable attendance and stable work history
Ability to follow work instructions and established production procedures
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate CNC and production machinery according to established procedures
Learn proper machine operation and production processes through hands-on training
Load and unload materials or components as required
Monitor equipment during production runs
Inspect completed parts for quality and accuracy
Identify and report equipment, production, or quality concerns to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety procedures and production requirements
Assist with additional machine shop and manufacturing duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Previous CNC machine operating experience
Manufacturing or machine shop experience
Basic mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with measuring tools and production equipment
Interest in developing long-term CNC machining skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and remain on your feet throughout the shift
Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive physical activity
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
Ability to safely work around CNC machinery and production equipment while wearing required PPE
