5-Axis CNC Machinist to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-precision parts that meet strict quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor 5-axis CNC machining equipment.
- Run CNC programs to manufacture precision parts, tooling, and fixtures according to specifications.
- Gather and prepare tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and job travelers.
- Make machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve problems.
- Perform minor machine maintenance and report equipment concerns as needed.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
- Support additional manufacturing projects and tasks as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments, including:
- Micrometers
- Dial Indicators
- Height Gauges
- Pin Gauges
- Comparators
- Ability to perform geometric and trigonometric calculations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills.
Preferred
- CNC programming experience.
- Experience operating 5-axis CNC machines.
- Working knowledge of CMS software.
- Experience with Fanuc controls.
- Experience machining tooling and fixtures.
- Knowledge of material properties and machining characteristics.
- Experience working with composite materials, including:
- Carbon Fiber
- Fiberglass
- Kevlar
- Experience in specialized or semi-repetitive manufacturing environments.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Overtime, evenings, weekends, and schedule flexibility may be required based on production needs.
