CNC Machine OpShift: 1st 5:00am-1:30pm & 2nd shift 1:30pm-10:00pmPay: $20.00-$23.00POSITION SUMMARY:Produces machined parts by setting up and operating computer numerical control machines. Loads partsin machine, cycles machine, detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cuttingtools, maintains quality and safety standards.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:This is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by employees of this class;employees may be assigned duties which are not listed below; reasonable accommodations may be madeto enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basiccalculations.
  • Set-up and operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts.
  • Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping,de-burring, sawing and sandblasting.
  • Inspects completed work for conformance to specification using tools such as calipers and basicmeasuring tools.
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
  • Ability to work with chemicals, solvents, adhesives and lubricants.
  • Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in clean orderly condition, performs preventative maintenanceand follows prescribed safety procedures.
  • Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and inwriting.MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the department, they are not an essential part ofthe purpose of this position and may also be performed by other department members.

  • Sits occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
  • Stands frequently up to 7 hours a day.
  • Walk occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
  • Bend/stoop occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
  • Reach above occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
  • Drive, use of foot controls occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
  • Pushing/Pulling frequently up to 7 hours a day.
  • Fine manipulation rarely.
  • Grip frequently up to 7 hours a day for tool use and parts handling.
  • Balance continuously up to 10 hours a day - working around machines and equipment.
  • Lift/Carry parts ranging from 0 lb. – 10 lbs. continuously up to 10 hours a day.
  • Lift/Carry parts ranging from 10 lbs. – 20 lbs. occasionally up to 2.5 hours a day.
  • Lift/Carry parts ranging from 20 lbs. – 50 lbs. rarely
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception andability to adjust focus.QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to perform essential duties.
  • High School Diploma/GED or graduation from certified technical school.
  • Minimum of 2 years machine shop experience
Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
