This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising CNC machinists, programming and setting up CNC lathes, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Mazatrol controls , CNC programming, machine setup, blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Group Leader to lead our precision machining operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising CNC machinists, programming and setting up CNC lathes, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous improvement efforts.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and train a team of CNC Lathe Operators and Machinists
• Plan and coordinate daily machining activities to meet production schedules
• Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mazatrol controls and CAM software
• Set up CNC lathes, select tooling, establish offsets, and verify first-piece quality
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to minimize downtime
• Perform routine machine maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Maintain production, quality, and inspection records
• Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

Qualifications
Required

• 3+ years of CNC Lathe experience
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of Mazatrol programming and setup
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

• CNC Milling experience
• CAM programming experience a plus
• Experience with CMM equipment
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
• Forklift certification or experience

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour based on experience
Schedule:

• Monday Thursday: 6:00 AM 4:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM 10:00 AM
• Overtime and flexible schedule opportunities may be available
