CNC Lathe Trainer

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a CNC Lathe Trainer for a family-owned aerospace manufacturing company which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in CNC lathe machining and G-code programming looking to further their career in training and advanced machining.

•      Train and mentor new CNC lathe operators through hands-on instruction and machine demonstrations

•      Oversee trainees at their machines, monitor performance, and build their machining skills

•      Run CNC lathes and demonstrate setups, tooling, offsets, and G-code program edits

•      Teach blueprint reading, precision measuring, first-piece inspection, and shop safety

•      Grow into advanced machining and programming

Essential Qualifications

•      5+ years of CNC lathe experience, including setup, tooling, offsets, and G-code programming

•      Patient, strong communicator with proven ability to train or mentor; works independently with varied personalities on swing shift

•      Technical certificate, apprenticeship, associate degree, or equivalent machining experience

Bonus Qualifications

•      Aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing experience; AS9100 or ISO 9001 familiarity

•      Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or Citizen/Miyano controls; live-tool or Swiss-type lathes

•      Prior lead machinist, setup technician, trainer, or mentor experience
