Position Summary

Strange Engineering is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator with at least 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Mazak lathes, reading blueprints, inspecting precision parts, and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mazak lathe machines efficiently and safely
• Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Monitor machine performance and maintain quality standards
• Operate multiple machines when required
• Follow all company safety procedures and work practices
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CNC lathe machining experience
• Experience with Mazak machines preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines
